Does ReconHire submit applications for me?
It does everything up to the submit button: finds the role, tailors your resume, writes the letter and answers, and opens the real application page with your packet ready to paste. You click submit. Fully unattended bots get flagged by LinkedIn and applicant systems, and blind mass-applying hurts response rates — this keeps every application accurate and your accounts safe.
Where do the jobs come from?
Public company career boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby), remote job boards, The Muse, USAJOBS for federal IT and cybersecurity roles, and large aggregators like Adzuna and Jooble. Postings are deduped and anything that isn't a technical role is filtered out.
Will the AI make things up on my resume?
No. Packets are built from your own resume. When AI rewrites a bullet, any new number or new skill that isn't already in your resume causes that rewrite to be thrown out. You always get to edit before you apply.
Is my data private?
Your resume and profile are encrypted in the database, passwords use Argon2id, and you can turn on two-factor sign-in. We never sell your data, and ads are non-personalized unless you allow otherwise (see our Privacy Policy). You can export or delete everything at any time from Settings.
I'm switching into tech from another field. Will it help?
Yes. The checker shows which paths you're closest to today, what skills and certs close the gap, and project ideas that prove the skills. Recon favors entry-level roles when you set your level that way.
